Weber and Devers is a full service psychological agency offering a comprehensive range of of therapeutic and counseling services throughout the Eastern U.P. We have several providers on staff with varied specialties to meet your needs. Our services are designed to promote the psychological growth and emotional well-being of everyone through counseling services, formal assessments and family counseling.

Dr. Robert Devers obtained his Doctor of Psychology Degree in 1993. As a fully licensed psychologist he is experienced in providing outpatient psychological evaluations and therapy to a wide range of individuals and families. He also obtained his Specialist Degree in School Psychology and has extensive experience with developmental, learning, neurological and behavioral disorders in children and adolescents.

Barbara Weber, Ph.D.
Fully licensed counseling psychologist specializing in individual therapy with children, adolescents, and adults. Extensive experience in the treatment of depression, anxiety, abuse issues, and oppositional behavior in adolescents.

Teryn Bruni, PhD
Dr. Bruni obtained her doctoral degree in School Psychology in 2016. She is a fully licensed psychologist and Board-Certified Behavior Analyst who has specialized training in behavioral pediatrics, school assessment, and behavioral interventions for children, adolescents, and families. She has specialty training in areas of behavioral pediatrics and school-based assessment and consultation.

Mark Herbert, MSW
Mark Herbert graduated from Grand Valley University with a master’s degree in social work in 2012 and has held a full clinical license in the state of Michigan since 2015. He has provided therapy to a wide range of clients since then working for both the Michigan Department of Corrections and the United States Air Force. He recently finished certification in EMDR therapy, specializing in treatment of trauma related disorders. Mark joined the Weber and Devers staff in 2023.

Helen Farrish, MSW
Helen is a Clinical Social Worker who specializes in work with adults and adolescents to include issues of past abuse, self-esteem and anxiety issues, past trauma, and substance dependence issues.

Lenny Carpentier-McLean (Any/All) – LLMSW, CADC
Lenny graduated with their MSW from the University of Michigan with a focus on Interpersonal Practice in Integrated Health, Mental Health, & Substance Abuse. As a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, Lenny employs evidence-based approaches to address addiction, incorporating elements of cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and harm reduction strategies. Their empathetic and non-judgmental approach fosters a therapeutic alliance that supports clients in their journey toward recovery. In the realm of gender-affirming therapy, Lenny is a staunch advocate for the LGBTQIA2S+ community, providing affirming and culturally competent care. They work collaboratively with clients to explore and affirm their gender identity, navigating the complexities that may arise in the process. Their commitment to ongoing professional development ensures that they stay informed about the latest research and best practices in Social Work. Lenny is committed to creating a safe and inclusive space for clients to explore and address a wide variety of unique experiences and challenges.

Janet Hess, MSW
Janet is a Licensed Master Social Worker who has worked her entire career in the Upper Peninsula. She graduated from Sault Area High School, Lake Superior State University, and Central Michigan University. Janet specializes in work with depression, anxiety disorder, and martial problems. Her interests include outdoor activities, running, and spending time on Lake Superior. Janet currently provides therapy services at the Sault High Adolescent Care Clinic (SHACC).

Ernest Ketelhut, MS, LLP
Ernie is a Limited Licensed Psychologist since 1986. With over 37 years of experience in the field of psychology, he has worked with adults, adolescents, and children who suffer from various psychological disorders and substance abuse problems in both in-patient and out-patient settings. He is experienced with individual, group, conjoint, and family treatment, using an eclectic approach in therapy. Additionally, he has performed psychological evaluations, testing intellectual functioning, and underlying psychopathology.

Kyle Wood, MS, LLP
Kyle is a Limited Licensed Psychologist who has been in practice since 1995 providing psychological evaluations and therapy services for a multitude of different problem areas including work related stress, bereavement, ADHD, marital and parenting issues. Kyle currently provides Disability Determination Evaluations for the State of Michigan.

Julie M. Barber, MSW, CAADC
Julie is a fully Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LMSW) and a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) with more than 30 years of clinical experience. She specializes in treating those with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders, mood disorders, trauma & PTSD, personality disorders and court involvement. Julie provides individual, family, couples, and group counseling services as well as mental health and substance abuse evaluations. She has extensive training and experience with substance abuse counseling, Cognitive Behavioral Therapies, Motivational Interviewing, crisis counseling, Driver’s License Appeal assessments, domestic violence & trauma-informed counseling, and working as a member of drug/mental health court programs.

Renee' Labadie, MSW
Renee is a Licensed Master’s Social Worker who obtained her degree at Grand Valley State University in 2011. She also achieved a Bachelor Degree in Human Services with Minors in Sociology, Social Work and Human Services Administration from Lake Superior State University. Renee completed her internship with the Luce County Department of Health & Human Services and her employment history includes experience with Chippewa County DHHS, Hiawatha Behavioral Health, and the Community Action Agency. Renee has been with Weber & Devers since 2017.
